We have come up with a power supply that we feel improves the sound of all the SqueezeBox systems. We replace the noisy, switching power supply with a large, linear power supply
It is housed in a small anodized aluminum case. It uses an E-core power transformer. There is a total of over 60,000 uF of Nichicon filter and reservoir capacitors used. A Sonicap Gen2 cap is used for bypass.
A discreet, full wave bridge is used to rectify the AC current. The power supply is fully regulated. Total current throughput is 3.5 amps.
This power supply can be built to output 5 volts for use with the SB 2, 3 or Touch, 9 volts for the DUET or 12 volts for some DACs.
A 3 foot, detachable, shielded DC cable is included for use with the SB.
This cable can be upgraded to the NITRO DC Cable.
