The Logitech Touch in it's stock form sounds better than the previous released Squeeze Box products. Our mods for the DUET and SB3 do sound  better than the stock Touch. We set out to improve the sound of the Touch over our earlier mods. We did it.

The mods start out with improving power supply delivery and decoupling to the DAC chip. We then remove the electrolytic coupling capacitor from the analog signal path. This cleans up the harsh sounding high end, lowers the overall noise floor and extends the low end and enhances definition.

The sound of the mod is best heard using a linear power supply rather than the stock switching supply. We suggest using a modded Jerome Industries power supply, a modded ELPAC WM-220 or one of our custom power supplies, such as the Standard.
